Fronted by Kocassalé Dioubaté, singer and master drummer from Guinea, Jarimba combines the traditions of West Africa with a contemporary edge, creating music that seamlessly crosses cultural boundaries and is accessible to everyone. “An unstoppable rhythm machine..”

Since releasing their CD “Mami Wata” in 2008, they have been headlining festivals and rocking dance floors around B.C. Known for their high energy live show, the distinctive sounds of the marimba, electrifying guitar solos, percussion, and spontaneous dancing, Jarimba has gained a reputation as one of Canada’s hottest world fusion bands.
