Gambia Tourist Support/Gambia Education & Teaching Support

Providing sustainable employment for over 25 Gambians at fair wages, and sponsoring the education of hundreds of Gambian children, GTS/GETS is an incredible organization committed to creating positive change in West Africa.

Paper Recycling Skills Project (PRSP)

PRSP is another great grassroots organization working in the Gambia, creating sustainable employment for local Gambians, as well as benefiting the educationof children.

 

At the Paper Skills Recycling Project waste paper is taken, recycled and made into beautiful hand-made books, covered in a patchwork of colourful local fabrics. The books are sold to visitors and tourists and the proceeds used to buy exercise books for schoolchildren in communities all over the country. To date, PRSP has given out over 1500 exercise books!
